Feasibility study Westcoast hydrogen network

In 2020, a study was carried out for the Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Nordfriesland mbH on behalf of the Westcoast Regional Cooperation by the companies IPP ESN Power Engineering GmbH, Hypion GmbH and BBG und Partner Rechtsanwälte, which examined the development paths of the regional hydrogen economy on the westcoast of Schleswig-Holstein. The focus here was on how the apparent pole position of the westcoast can participate in the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy, particularly due to its high reserves of renewable energies. The investigations focused on the mobility sector. Framework conditions for the ramp-up were examined and, in parallel, demand was assessed through personal discussions with potential users from the waste management, public transport and logistics sectors.
